Our programs
We offer quality instruction for both our recreational Non-Company and our competitive Company dancers.
Classes offered at Spotlight
Creative Movement.
Offered for ages 3 & 4; this class focuses on building the main concepts and techniques of Ballet and Tap that are needed to advance into other styles of dance, as well as incorporating fun creative movement activities.
Lyrical.
Lyrical class takes ballet technique and presents it in a more expressive form. Lyrical is taken and performed by all Company dancers and it is introduced to our non-company 7, 8 &9’s and 10 & Up dancers in their concert choreography.
Ballet.
Ballet is a mandatory technique for all Spotlight dancers. This class focuses on building the dancer’s technique, body placement, arm positions, terminology and strength.
Hip Hop.
Hip Hop presents the latest dance styles of the Hip Hop culture. Spotlight dancers start taking Hip Hop classes in our 5, 6 & 7’s classes all the way up to our elite Hip Hop Competitive team, Funkdafied, and every level in between.
Tap.
Tap is a mandatory technique for all Spotlight dancers. Tap class incorporates beginner through advanced tap terminology and knowledge into rhythmic patterns.
Adagio.
This style of dance incorporates male and female partnering and lifting. We currently have a Jr. Adagio Team and are always looking to add more boys! Our Senior Adagio team is also looking for more male partners. Email us for more information!
Jazz.
Offered for anyone in our 7, 8 & 9’s non-company age level and above, this style of dance incorporates Jazz technique and tricks into fast-paced, up-beat combinations.
Pointe.
Dancing on Pointe is not recommended for dancers under 12-years-old. Students will be placed in a Pointe shoe once they have shown thorough knowledge of ballet technique, posture and strength, and have been approved by their Ballet instructor.

Non-Company
Ages 3+
All Non-company dancers are welcome and class placement in based on age and experience so we can place dancers in the appropriate class for their level.
Company
Ages 8+ (Audition required)
Our Company dancers are chosen after a audition process in August. If dancers audition, but aren’t quite ready for a company, they will be placed in their age equivalent Non-Company class for the season to help them continue to grow and achieve their goals in the future.

TO QUALIFY, THE REGISTRATION FOR THE NEW STUDENT(S) MUST BE PAID IN FULL. This program ends after the completion of our registration period in August 2024.
CONTEST: The family who refers the most NEW students for during our registration period, will have their recital fee waived for our Spring Concert 2025.
